And just like that....WorkSite is 10 years old!

When Tom and I started WorkSite in 2013, my son and daughter were in 5th and 3rd grades respectively, the iPhone was on version 5, Windows 8.1 was installed on your swanky new computer and Taylor Swift left country music behind and was starting to dabble in being a pop icon.

Tom and I met when our kids were in a CPS school class that kept the kids moving up in grade together, so we naturally spent time at social and school functions quite a bit. I was at the tail end of my film career and he was at the end of his rope with his consulting career. One day, we had lunch to discuss how working together might look. WordPress was just coming into it’s own, we happened to know a few people that needed website upgrades and the rest as they say is history.

Tom’s post with all the statistics tells a story of the numbers better than I could. But it’s not just about the numbers. It’s about the people we’ve met along the way, the relationships we’ve created and kept alive and the fact that we enjoy what we do so much. And that through bad economies and world wide pandemics we’ve kept this thing alive. Not just alive, but thriving.

Now it’s 10 years later and so many things are different and yet the same. I mean I’ve got a freshman in college, you can buy an iPhone 14 or a Windows 11 computer and I would say Taylor Swift has this pop icon thing figured out.

Here’s to 10 more years!
